WORKSHOP OPENING HOURS: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm | Sat 9am - 1pm

It’s hard to believe that it was business as usual for most of us at the start of this year – little did we know that the CoronaVirus was right around the corner. That being said, we’ve been truly inspired by the resilience and ‘keep calm and carry on nature’ of everyone here in the United Kingdom. Even though we are facing hardship and uncertainty, it is truly inspirational to see everyone come together as one and to actively support each other as well as local businesses.
During these testing times we want to reassure our loyal and supportive customers that we’re here for them, come rain or shine. We feel rather lucky at MH Suspension as our workshop is located on our farm, in turn, allowing us to continue to do what we do best – fix and repair motorcycle suspension.
It is important to add however, that we will be keeping a close eye on the latest policies and laws put in place by our government and will react accordingly with full warning in advance – if any changes do occur our end, we will let you know via our Facebook page.
With self isolation now in full swing, we thought now would be the perfect time to educate you on the importance of motorcycle suspension. As we always like to say here in the workshop, “suspension can make or break a great ride experience” which is why we would always recommend you have an expert on hand for advice, assistance and parts.
At MH Suspension, we believe it is important to ensure your bike is correctly optimised, not only for your own safety, but to help enhance your overall experience.
If you’ve recently purchased a new motorbike, it would have most likely come straight from the factory with the suspension already set up. This particular suspension setup is known as the ‘one fits all’ setting which means it won’t be bespoke to your weight and style of riding. If you’re like us, and are frequently looking at ways in which you can get your motorcycle to perform better, you may want to consider the following:
One of the most popular services we offer is our workshop ride-in ride-out set up package. Suited for all road and track bikes, this service includes damping setup and adjustments to the front and rear sag – we do this to ensure your weight is correctly supported and distributed across your bike. Secondly (if we deem it necessary) we will also check and adjust your tyre pressures to ensure your ride is fully optimised and safe to ride.
We also offer suspension packages such as our motorcycle fork service – this includes us de-gassing the part, stripping it down and cleaning it. It is also important to add that we inspect all parts during the reassembly to ensure everything is in perfect working order. If you need parts replaced, we can fit and provide new oil, seals, O rings, shaft nuts, scraper seals and Nitrogen gas.
Our second suspension offering is our motorcycle shock revalve service – this includes the above service procedure mentioned, however, with the main piston rod modified and shimmed to help improve performance and tailor the shock to your specific requirements. During this service, we may discover that an optional rate shock spring may be required in order to best distribute your weight – if that is the case, we will let you know before-hand.
That being said, we’re more than happy to tailor the motorcycle suspension services we offer, so if you do have a problem regarding your motorcycle, please do let us know below and we’ll happily provide you with a quote.
In the meantime, if you’re stuck inside due to self isolation and fancy a little retail therapy, we do also offer parts for your motorcycle online, feel free to take a look at our range of products below. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, or are simply unsure as to which parts or accessories you may need for your motorcycle, get in touch with us via our website, Facebook or by telephone.
Please remember that we are taking the government’s advice and policies regarding COVID-19 very seriously, and will be adapting our business accordingly.
